The expanding scope of the animation projects I was taking on made me see the importance of storyboarding as much as you can in advance. I learned that boards help save both time and resources, which was quite a good thing, since this was a solo deal with little time for mistakes.

Got a lot of great feedback on this one. The class had fun making up crazy things for Mort to pull out of the cadaver. Some scenes were boarded but had to be cut do to the senior year time crunch. You’ll notice an extended introduction and the presence of two tall doctors in the morgue at the beginning instead of just one. The ending is also slightly different in the use of a different dismembered body part.

When making these drawings, I think I spent too much time on them, but at the time, I was sure I had to produce high quality images for that part of the assignment. Turns out I could’ve used some of the time used for shading on actual production, but what the hell. They came out good.
