Recently, I became fascinated with the idea of the webcomic, comic books that can only be read on the internet. It seemed like a logical progression for computer aided illustration and graphic design. Anyone with a computer and talent could make their own title and say what they wanted without the pressure from a publisher, as can be the case with printed comics.

This comic is called "Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki" and it is written and drawn by Kittyhawk. This title quickly became one of my favorites, due in no small part to the wonderfully twisted sense of humor of the writer, the quality of the artwork, and the scantily clad title character. :P

I thought it might be fun to imagine what this comic would look like if a movie was made based on it and there were promotional posters made. Images taken from the comic were enhanced in Photoshop, adding shadow and specular lighting where needed. The credits were based on the style used in the posters for “Aliens”. It was fun throwing in a variety of names from the movie, TV and anime industries as possible voice talent and production staff.

Sadly, this is all the fan art I can find that I’d want to post here. More will come as they get made.
